Andrew F. Wilkinson

Andrew joined Divelbiss & Wilkinson in July 2012 and practices in the areas of land-use and real estate law, civil litigation, estate planning, and commercial law.

Prior to joining Divelbiss, Andrew served as an Assistant County Attorney in the Office of the County Attorney for Washington County, Maryland, representing the Board of County Commissioners, its employees and agencies in all matters concerning public governance. Prior to serving at the County, Andrew was a member of the Hagerstown firm Barton, Williams & Wilkinson, providing trial and transactional representation in family law, personal injury, workers’ compensation, business litigation, estate planning, and real estate settlements. Andrew is a former law clerk to the Circuit Court for Washington County and was formerly sworn as an Assistant District Attorney for Cobb County, Georgia.

Andrew’s trial and appellate practice has included matters in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, the Circuit and District Courts of Maryland for Washington, Alleghany, Baltimore City, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, and Montgomery Counties, the United States District Court for Maryland, the United States Bankruptcy Court, and the Court of Common Pleas of Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Administrative matters have occurred at the Maryland Public Services Commission, Workers’ Compensation Commission, Motor Vehicle Administration, Washington County Board of Zoning Appeals, and the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Andrew has been a member of the Maryland State Board of Law Examiners Character Committee since 2006. In addition, from 2010-2012, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Washington County Bar Association.
